Chlorine Dioxide Solution (CDS)
Based on the work of Andreas Kalcker
Overview
Chlorine Dioxide Solution (CDS) is an activated form of sodium chlorite (NaClO₂), developed to be a cleaner and more controlled version of MMS (Miracle Mineral Solution) originally popularized by Jim Humble. CDS releases chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), a gas with selective oxidizing properties, into distilled water and is then consumed for its purported therapeutic benefits.
Key Clarification
Chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) is NOT the same as chlorine (Cl₂). The confusion between these chemicals has led to misinformation. While chlorine is a corrosive, toxic disinfectant in high doses, chlorine dioxide is a different compound with targeted oxidizing abilities, used in water purification and sanitation across the globe.
MMS vs CDS: What’s the Difference?
Feature MMS (Jim Humble) CDS (Andreas Kalcker)
Composition Sodium chlorite + acid drops mixed in water Pre-activated ClO₂ gas dissolved in distilled water
Taste/Effect Strong, can irritate stomach Milder, better tolerated
Method Mixed per dose Prepared in advance, consumed gradually
Dose Drops consumed directly Diluted solution sipped through the day
How CDS Works
When 22.4% sodium chlorite (NaClO₂) is activated with 4% hydrochloric acid (HCl) for 30 seconds, it releases chlorine dioxide gas (ClO₂). This gas is captured in distilled water, creating a stable solution (typically at 3,000 ppm or 0.3%).
Chlorine Dioxide is an oxidant, not a medication. It does not “cure” directly, but oxidizes harmful pathogens and toxins. This allows the body’s immune system to recover and function optimally.
“CDS is not a drug, nor is it toxic in controlled doses. It’s an oxidant that destroys pathogens by oxidation and breaks down into salt and oxygen.”
– Dr. Andreas Kalcker, “Forbidden Health”
Characteristics of Chlorine Dioxide
- Yellow gas, water-soluble without structural change.
- Formed by combining NaClO₂ and HCl.
- Oxidizes pathogens selectively (based on pH and electrical charge).
- Breaks down into salt (NaCl) and oxygen (O₂).
- Does not accumulate in the body (EPA-reviewed, EPA Fact Sheet, 1999).
Advantages Over Chlorine and Other Disinfectants:
- Effective across a wide pH range (4–10).
- Destroys bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores.
- Faster action and greater solubility than chlorine.
- No harmful byproducts like trihalomethanes (THMs).
- Neutralizes phenols and ammonia compounds.
- Non-corrosive in low concentrations, reducing long-term maintenance costs.
General Use Guidelines:
Storage
Store CDS in dark brown glass bottles.
Plastic lids only – metal is corrosive and reactive.
Keep refrigerated to maintain potency.
Avoid light and temperature fluctuations.
How to Use CDS
Protocol C (Humble’s Protocol 1000 – 21-day detox)
Start slow and build up gradually:
Days 1–3: 7ml CDS in 1L distilled water
Days 4–6: 10ml in 1L
Days 7–21: up to 15ml in 1L (max 3,000 ppm)
Drink 1L of this solution in hourly doses over 8–10 hours (approx. 100–125ml/hour).
Protocol A (Maintenance Protocol)
Day 1: 3 drops in 200ml water before bed.
Day 2: 3 drops after breakfast + 3 drops before bed.
Day 3+: 3 drops after breakfast, lunch, and before bed.
Golden Rule for Use
- Feeling better – continue protocol.
- Feeling worse – it may be a Herxheimer reaction. Reduce dosage temporarily.
- No change – increase dosage or change protocol.
Important Safety Notes
Avoid antioxidants like Vitamin C 2 hours before/after use – they neutralize ClO₂.
Never mix/store CDS in metal containers or with metal utensils.
Not a cure-all: it’s a pathogen eliminator, not a pharmaceutical drug.
Used worldwide for water purification, including municipal water plants.
Use for Water Purification (Humans & Animals)
Add 1ml (20 drops) of CDS per 2L of drinking water.
Used effectively in many developing regions for microbial water disinfection.
