1. What Is DNA Hair Sampling?
DNA Hair Sampling works as a non-invasive method that uses a small sample of your hair to analyse the energetic imbalances in your body. Specifically, it helps identify nutritional deficiencies, toxin exposure, organ stress, food sensitivities, and emotional stress patterns.
2. How Does DNA Hair Sampling Work?
Your hair follicles store genetic and energetic information. Once we receive your sample, we scan it using bioresonance technology. This process produces a detailed report highlighting key areas of imbalance and offering guidance for restoring wellness. According to research exploring human hair as a diagnostic tool, hair carries a surprising amount of biological information, which is part of why practitioners have grown interested in this approach.
3. What Can It Test For?
DNA Hair Sampling can explore several areas, including nutritional deficiencies (vitamins, minerals, amino acids), food intolerances and sensitivities, and heavy metals and toxins. It also looks at organ function and energy blockages, microbes such as parasites, bacteria, viruses, and fungi, as well as emotional stress markers, traumas, and biochemical homeostasis pathology.
4. Is DNA Hair Sampling Painful?
Not at all. We only need a few strands of hair, cut close to the scalp, so no needles or invasive procedures are involved at any stage.
5. Will It Work if My Hair Has Been Dyed, Heat-Styled, or Chemically Treated?
Yes. DNA Hair Sampling still works even if your hair has been dyed, bleached, chemically treated, or heat damaged. The test reads information stored in the follicle and inner hair shaft, rather than just the surface. So, while treatments and heat may affect the outer layer, they don’t erase the energetic signatures our bioresonance technology scans for. For best results, we recommend sending strands cut close to the scalp, or a mix of untreated and treated strands where possible.
6. Do I Need to Send a New Hair Sample for Each Test?
No, we can use the same hair sample for up to two years. This works because, as your body’s resonance changes over time, the resonance of the hair strands changes along with it.
7. How Much Hair Do I Need to Send?
We only need 4–6 strands cut close to the scalp, roughly 2–3 cm long. If your hair is very short, you can also send body hair from your arm, chest, or leg instead, since a very small, discreet sample works just fine.
8. Does It Only Have to Be the Hair on My Head?
No. While practitioners most commonly use scalp hair, they can also perform DNA Hair Sampling with body hair, such as from the arm, leg, or chest. The important factor is that the hair carries your energetic and genetic information, regardless of where it grows. As a result, this makes the test accessible even for people with very short or no scalp hair.
9. Who Can Benefit From DNA Hair Sampling?
Several groups often find value in this test, including people experiencing chronic health issues and children with allergies, skin problems, or learning difficulties. It also suits athletes optimising performance, anyone seeking preventative wellness insights, and people in highly stressful jobs or environments. Additionally, people who have gone through past or recent trauma, or anyone wanting to pinpoint the weakest parts of their body, may find it useful.
10. How Long Does It Take to Get Results?
Once we receive your sample, results typically become available within two weeks, depending on the current backlog. You’ll receive a detailed audio report alongside personalised recommendations.
11. How Will the Report Be Sent?
We send your report securely to you as an audio file.
12. What’s Included in the Report?
Your report includes a detailed overview of your body’s energetic imbalances, along with insights into nutritional deficiencies (vitamins, minerals, amino acids). It also covers food intolerances and sensitivities, detection of toxins, heavy metals, and microbes (parasites, bacteria, fungi, viruses), and organ stress and biochemical imbalances. Beyond that, you’ll receive emotional stress markers and trauma patterns, tailored recommendations on lifestyle, diet, and natural remedies, and a sound frequency file for your own use.
13. What Is Sound Frequency?
Sound frequency refers to the number of vibrations per second, measured in Hertz (Hz). Low frequencies feel grounding and calming, like drums or deep tones, while higher frequencies feel uplifting and cleansing, like singing bowls or birdsong. In wellness, practitioners use different sound frequencies to encourage relaxation, balance, and healing through resonance. DNA Hair Sampling also works with vibrational frequencies, which helps identify where the body may be out of balance. As The CMA’s overview of bio-resonance and hair testing explains, this resonance-based approach has a long history within complementary wellness practice.
14. Can Anybody Else Listen to My Sound Frequency?
No. We don’t record the frequencies detected in your DNA Hair Sampling as sound or music that someone else could listen to. Instead, they exist as energetic signatures that our bioresonance system reads to create your report. Listening to somebody else’s sound frequency can cause irritation in the body.
15. Can DNA Hair Sampling Replace Medical Tests?
No. This tool works as a complementary wellness option. It doesn’t replace medical diagnosis or treatment, but it does provide valuable insights that can support holistic healing alongside professional care.
16. How Accurate Is the Test?
While DNA Hair Sampling isn’t a medical diagnostic tool, many clients find it highly effective for detecting energetic imbalances that may contribute to health challenges. Consequently, many people use it as a guide for proactive health management alongside professional healthcare, rather than as a replacement for it. For further context on how bioresonance approaches work more broadly, this overview of bioresonance scanning offers useful additional background.
17. Do I Need to Visit the Be The Change Wellness Centre?
No, you can courier your hair sample to us directly. However, if you prefer a face-to-face session, in-person consultations remain available at Be The Change Wellness in Umhlanga.
Disclaimer: DNA Hair Sampling is a complementary assessment tool and not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment.
